My work explores the intersection of memory, emotion, and the visual language of colour and form. Through oil painting, works on paper, and digital media, I create vibrant compositions that invite viewers into contemplative spaces where the familiar becomes dreamlike.
I'm drawn to the way Cubism fragments and reconstructs reality—how separate elements can merge into something entirely new. This modernist approach allows me to transform landscapes, both real and imagined, into rhythmic visual experiences. My compositions pulse with an innate musicality, a quality I attribute to growing up surrounded by music.
Colour is central to my practice. I use bold, saturated palettes and geometric patterns to evoke joy and tranquillity simultaneously. The interplay of solid forms and intricate motifs creates a tactile quality—viewers often describe wanting to touch the surface of the paintings.
My series Reminiscence explores imaginary landscapes where colourful trees and radiant suns exist in atmospheric dreamscapes. In my abstract works, undulating shapes and glowing orbs float across the canvas, capturing fleeting moments of beauty and the bittersweet nature of memory.
My background in digital design informs how I translate emotions and concepts into visual narratives. I'm interested in depicting the idea of a place rather than its exact likeness, creating scenes that exist somewhere between memory and imagination.
Painting is a simple way to make sure you take notice. It reminds you of something you like, something you are. It is a way to share experiences and communicate in another language.
